About
Ursula Project is a platform that bridges the gap between literature and cinema, enabling creative projects to come to life. Our aim is to bring the works of writers to a wide audience and connect them with the magical world of visual arts. We are committed to being with our authors every step of the journey, providing them with the support they need.
We adapt books into films and television series, as well as games, podcasts, and many other different formats. In this way, we believe that the works of authors will be recognized by a wider audience and will create a lasting impact. We contribute to cultural richness by bringing literary works to different platforms with new interpretations. With projects that push the limits of imagination, we bring the magic of literature to screens. Additionally, we develop special book projects together with our authors and ensure these projects are realized in unique ways.
Hazal Baydur
About
Hazal Baydur graduated from the Department of Psychology at Istanbul University and has gained various experiences in the field of literature and culture since then. She represented non-fiction books at Kalem Literary Agency, coordinated the !f Istanbul Film Festival and Istanbul International Literature Festival, and founded the Foreign Rights Department at Ithaki Publishing Group.
She produces and hosts a podcast called Güvenilmez Anlatıcı (The Unreliable Narrator) where she explores overlooked stories from the history of literature and music. The podcast draws attention to censorship, exploitation and the socioeconomic challenges artists face. It aims to make art more accessible and create a platform for marginalized voices.
She founded the Ursula Project as a platform to support diverse voices and creative storytelling. With a commitment to independent and compelling storytelling, she continues to seek out new and engaging narratives.
